Fire Rockets Over and Around Objects

battlefield-2-rockets-lock

In Battlefield Bad Company 2, you can lock on to a tagged vehicle and fire the RPG in any direction. Over a fence, around a building, it all works. Here’s an example video.

First, make sure you or someone in your squad has the tracer gun. Then make sure at least one dude has the RPG. Got it? Moving on…

You have to tag the vehicle (in this video it’s a tank) with the tracer gun. You’ll see the orange box appear on the tank… You’re half way there. Stay with me.

Now get out the old RPG for some hot rocket action. Look into the scope towards the tagged tank. Keep in mind, you must to have a clear view of the target to lock on. So, expose yourself for a second (like that one time…) and lock on. As longs as you can see the blinking orange box through the scope, you can lock on. Yes, even through a building and behind cover. Now you can move around, but keep the zoom view. When the box stops blinking, you’re locked on.

When you’re behind cover, aim around or over an obstacle (fence, building, etc.) and let it rip!  If the tank is close enough, you’ll hit it from the side or top. Word.

And the dudes in the tank… well, let’s just say “They Hate It.”
